You've probably have been asked this a lot, but how did you extend the sky on some of your gifs? I would LOVE a tutorial on how to do it.

It’s ok :) Here’s what to do, described in few steps:

• Open the gif you want to extend in photoshop, and go to image>canvas size, click on the down arrow so the up one will remain, and set the height to, let’s say 22 (you can crop the image to the wanted size later. Mine are usually 500x570).

• Then, open another picture of clouds (search on google for one and choose one to your liking) in photoshop and drag it with the move tool (the black arrow, the first at the top where the tools are), leaving it on that empty space. Make sure that you put that layer on the top of the others, so it’ll show on each frame.

• Move those clouds around and use the eraser tool so you can make them blend with your gif. Here is a video tutorial from the tumblr user “nobodydiesofabrokenheart”. Now, this one is for a picture, but it’s almost the same with the gif.

• Another thing I do, is that I usually “freeze” part of the gif cause it’s smaller in size that way. Here is a tutorial on how to do that by the tumblr user kimlennox. Just use the brush tool to paint black the area you want to move on the layer mask.
